To be transparent, I wanted to share about the events on Friday, February 27, 2026. I’m aware my record is being circulated via the Internet and people are being left to their own imagination on the details of the charges against me. I want to take this opportunity to share my side of the story, so you are better informed.
Over the past several months, the NC Department of Insurance conducted an audit of Webster Insurance and Associates, Inc which is not unusual for the Insurance Department to audit insurance agencies or companies. While conducting the audit a discrepancy with issuing certificates of Insurance was discovered, specifically used car automobile dealerships. I was never given the opportunity to explain or clarify these discrepancies.
Upon leaving for the last time, the auditors indicated that I would be receiving an email with additional questions and may have to go to Raleigh if necessary for a hearing. I never heard anything further from the department until February 27, 2026.
On that date, The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department came to the office and placed me under arrest for Forgery and Uttering. I was taken to a sub-office of the Insurance Department where I was told if I voluntarily surrendered my license the investigation would end. When I told the investigator I needed to speak with my attorney, I was taken from the meeting and transported to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department where I was held until released on bail.
The one thing I want to clearly communicate to everyone is there is no evidence that I profited from the certificates that were issued incorrectly. My business remains open and my insurance license remains in effect.
I hope those of you who know me will understand that I’d never illegally take any money from clients and that judgement will pause until I have been arraigned and tried in court. Until that time, I plan to continue doing what I do, helping people with their insurance needs.
